Cheaper diabetes test strips?

I have type 2 diabetes, since I was diagnosed before I got my insurance plan, they call it a pre existing condition and wont cover any of the cost of test strips. I have a one touch ultra mini. I need to find cheaper test strips. I am paying 98 dollars for 100 of them now, and I have to check 3 times a day. Any ideas?

Answer: I’m sorry to hear about that pre-existing condition setup…  I swear, the insurance companies get you coming & going…  It’s ridiculous.  That being said, it’s your lucky day…  I’ve been buying diabetes test strips on Amazon for quite a long time now, and I really recommend them.

Are there cheaper strips out there? Yes.  Do/should you trust these places???  Maybe not.  After all of the footage that I’ve seen out there talking about counterfeit & faulty strips, I want to make sure that the quality is good.
